These afghans are appropriate for babies or small children. Some (marked with *) can also be used as adult lap afghans (lapghans), such as Snowglories or Lacy Ripple, when you want something to take the chill out without having to use a bigger, heavier afghan. Any afghan can be made in the colors of your choice. Knitted afghans are generally priced a bit higher than crocheted afghans because they take quite a bit longer to complete. All afghans are machine washable and dryable. However, I suggest washing anything handmade on the gentle or delicate cycle in cold water. And don't forget that baby afghans make a great shower or new baby gift. They even make great Christmas gifts for babies and toddlers.
